About Me

I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the Minster Centre. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their ethical framework for counselling professions. I gained a General Certificate in Online Therapy from the Academy for Online Therapy. I am qualified in working over video and phone calls as well as by email and chat.

I have experience in working in two low-cost counselling services: Spiral Holistic Therapy Centre and Highbury Counselling Centre. Until recently I worked at Lambeth and Southwark Mind as part of the core staff team looking after peer support services and evaluation.

Background

I grew up in Finland and have working experience as an academic researcher and a university teacher prior to training as a counsellor. I know what the pressures of a competitive work environment feel like, and how relocation to a foreign country affects one’s life. I have several years of personal experience of finding counselling helpful to live through major changes, turning points, and crises in life.
