How I work

I see therapy as a journey towards a more authentic sense of ourselves. During this journey, we can discover new ways to relate to others as well.

By developing acceptance, compassion, and mindful awareness towards our embodied experience, we can find new ways to inhabit ourselves and live in the world more authentically and fully.

I offer an encouraging space for you to begin your therapeutic journey. My work is guided by empathy, which forms the foundation for us to build a therapeutic relationship.

My counselling work is informed by mindfulness-based practices that are shown to be effective in developing the skills to live well with chronic pain, for example.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw resources from all main approaches in psychotherapeutic understanding: attachment theory, humanistic approaches, relational-analytic approaches and body psychotherapy.

However, what really matters is the therapeutic relationship. This can offer new ways of experiencing feelings and emotions fully, unravelling familiar thought-patterns, or relating to bodily sensations with openness and curiosity, all taking place in a confidential, safe, and supportive environment.

I offer open-ended long-term counselling and can also work in a time-limited way.

My fees are:

• Free initial phone or video call conversation (up to 30min) following your first contact with me.
• Sliding scale £65–£80 for a weekly session of 50 minutes. I invite an open discussion of the fees when we’re discussing how we would work together.
